The following list focuses on technical issues with SlideFab. Crashes, freezes and other nasty things which might stop you from using the application. However, you are not alone. We will try to support you to get it working. So please check, whether the issue you are facing, is mentioned down below. If not, feel free to reach out.
In this case, use the SlideFab Batch Installer to avoid issues regarding missing elevation or admin rights.
If the installation worked properly, then maybe the SlideFab Add-In was not enabled. Please ensure the checkmark is set. Follow this guide here to enable the SlideFab Add-In in PowerPoint.
This is issue can arise when SlideFab was installed with the Batch Installer right from the ZIP file. Windows allows it to browse the ZIP as if it was a folder. The solution is to uninstall SlideFab. Unblock the ZIP file (if the “Unblock” checkbox is shown and then to extract it the ZIP file to a folder before re-installing it. How the installation is done properly is also explained in the videos.
Up to SlideFab version 9.0 (inclusive) there was also an issue with Excel / PowerPoint version 2016 and earlier. Please make sure that you download the latest SlideFab version.
This is an unfortunate situation for sure. Please report the error to SlideFab (e.g. by writing an email to info@slidefab.com or via the contact page). You can revert back to an older version of SlideFab which worked for you. Just uninstall the current one and download the version you need.
