Situation

The PMO reports on more than 40 projects every month. Each project gets a one-pager in the corporate template: status lights, milestones, next steps, KPIs — about 35 data links on every single slide, from text and native charts to elements that appear or disappear depending on status. The data came from three different sources. The result: two full working days of manual slide work — every month, with the matching error risk in front of committees.

Solution

Power Query merges and shapes the three data sources — the Excel model needs almost no classic formulas and stays easy to maintain. SlideFab links the model to the existing corporate template: all ~35 links per slide — text, charts, conditional shape deletion — fill themselves from the data.

• 41 slides in about 10 minutes — data update included, at the push of a button
• Before: 2 working days per month. The freed-up time goes into steering projects instead of polishing slides
